Why vegetable-tanned leather?
Vegetable tanning uses natural tannins instead of the widely used chrome process. The process takes longer but results in strong and durable leather that ages beautifully. According to Cooper & Quint, the leather contains no harmful substances such as chrome VI or PCP and is biodegradable.
