Refined hand-woven detail

From cotton plant to hand-woven fabric

According to the supplier, Soeji products use cotton from local farmers in Java.

The cotton fields are naturally fertilised and the cotton bolls are hand-picked. The cotton fibres are then separated from the seed capsules, pressed into bales and carefully combed.

The cotton is then hand-spun into yarn.

This yarn is then processed by experienced artisans on traditional wooden looms. This is how the natural woven fabric from which FLORES is made is created step by step.

According to Soeji, the cotton is not chemically treated and therefore retains its natural appearance and structure.

Handmade in Java

FLORES is handcrafted in Java, Indonesia.

Soeji states that it works with local production partners who pay attention to fair wages and good working conditions. The products are made by adult and experienced artisans.

According to the supplier, no harmful chemicals are used in the production process. As many production steps are carried out by hand, relatively little machine production is required.

Care instructions

Wash the cushion cover cold by hand or use a delicate wash programme.

Do not bleach and do not tumble dry. Preferably, allow the cover to air dry in the shade and avoid direct sunlight.

Iron at a low temperature if necessary.
