The leaves of the plants, often cultivated by humans, are separated, cut into strips, dried, and then processed by hand.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBanana fibers are the fibers from the layered trunks of banana trees used in agriculture. The intense brown color develops naturally when the fibers are dried in the sun for about a week. Then, the individual strips are rolled into the characteristic, approximately 6 mm thick strands. Only old, dying banana trees are used for this material. We started talking to the owners and it became clear that they were interested in realizing our designs.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eSince then, we have designed and produced many great products based on traditional patterns, assembled a small but beautiful assortment, and finally made them available to a wider audience in our online shop in June 2020.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eFor our home and fashion accessories, we only use natural, environmentally friendly materials (which would otherwise often end up in the trash because they are considered waste products or weeds) and the work of experienced Indonesian artisans.
